Inntel Hotels is a modern, friendly and successful hotel group with hotels in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Zaandam and Zutphen. History
1982 - Hotel Inntel is founded by Michel Geurts and Peter Houniet. The 1st hotel is located in Zutphen; it's a resort with a wide variety of sport facilities, relaxation facilities and restaurants.
1986 - The 2nd hotel of Hotel Inntel opens in Zaandam. It's located only 15 minutes away from Amsterdam and it has a direct train connection with Schiphol. The hotel offers 70 rooms, a few restaurants and 5 meeting / party rooms. This hotel closes its doors in 2010 to make room for a new hotel.
1989 - Hotel Inntel opens the doors of a hotel located in the heart of Rotterdam. The hotel has 148 rooms, various meeting rooms, a restaurant and a swimming pool. The hotel is part of the Waterstad (Water city) project, with the Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre among others.
1996 - The 4th hotel of Hotel Inntel opens in the historic and popular heart of Amsterdam. The hotel offers 239 rooms: from a romantic suite till a modern business room. During the building period of this hotel, builders discover the remains of Vondel's castle: these unique remains can still be seen in the hotel.
2002 - Hotel Inntel joins forces with Golden Tulip. The partnership is known as ‘Golden Tulip Hotel Inntel’.
2006 - Golden Tulip Hotel Inntel Rotterdam Centre expands with a fabulous Panorama tower, that guarantees a spectacular view over the whole city. The luxurious Panorama rooms, Hästens suites and several congress rooms are located in this tower. Besides that, it's the first hotel to incorporate a concept, in this case 'sight at water'.
2008 - The day to day management of Hotel Inntel is handed over to Karin Geurts, the daughter of Michel Geurts. Michel Geurts stays at the company as one of it's directors, focussing on new hotel developments and construction.
2009 - Hotel Inntel incorporates the concept of 'sport and relaxation' at Hotel Inntel Resort Zutphen and the concept of 'Face Amsterdam' at Hotel Inntel Amsterdam Centre.
2010 - A brand new hotel opens its doors in Zaandam. With her green façade and unique rooms inspired by the Zaan region, this hotel is a real eye-catcher.
From April onwards, Inntel Hotels continues as an independent hotel chain and a new brand is born:

Future
2013 - Inntel Hotels Mainport will be opened: a 5 star hotel at the shores of the Maas river, located next to Inntel Hotels Rotterdam Centre. Because of its unique concept, Mainport gives you access to all continents of the world, by incorporating the world in a 5 star ambiance.
